Banish Acne Scars Away

Acne could be a nightmare for most people afflicted with this condition especially teenagers. Imagine going to a party with that annoying red bump on your face. It would surely pump up your inferiority complex into high gear making your experience not quite pleasant. What's worse is that the red bump leaves an acne scar behind.

What will they think of me? I'm shy to face him/her. I'm not presentable. These are some of the thoughts of a person with acne. As you can see it's all negative and very self defeating.

What's more is that after the redness has subsided, it leaves acne marks behind. Everytime acne develops, it surely will leave some scar on your face. Even without the redness, those craters on your face can still make you shy away from crowds.

Todays technological advances has brought about machines and procedures which can treat acne scars the level off those ugly craters on your face. There is the microdermabrasion, skin grafting, dermabrasion, collagen injection, autologous fat transfer, skin surgery and laser treatment.

These techniques does not come in cheap but the benefit you'll get will dwarf the cost. Just imagine the comparison: the emotional and stress state you will have if you have acne and the stress free and confidence you will have if you have a clear skin.

Statistics show that about 40 to 50 million Americans have this skin problem. Other countries should have similar statistics percentage wise. Mostly affected are teenagers starting at the age of 11. There are also cases of adult acne but not as high as those of teenagers.

There are cases where acne can surface in other parts of the body, even at the buttocks. But the most likely places are the face, neck, chest and at the back.

Can you just select what treatment you like? Well, your dermatologist can answer that after an analysis of your skin and the type of acne scar you have. It's always better to consult a professional on this matter. You may be presented with several options and that's time when you can make your choice.

There's no single treatment for all types of acne scar. Your dermatologist can determine that for you then you'll be able to decide. You may also research the internet on the different types of acne scar treatment available so that you are already familiar with them when you visit your dermatologist.

Confidence is a big factor in determining you can be successful in your tasks or not. If your confidence level goes low because of acne and the scars it leaves behind, then it must be your number 1 priority to have it treated so that you can boost your confidence and lead a more productive life.
