Common Skin Care Problems Today

By Jackie Michaels

Skin problems such as acne, oily skin and dry skin can be prevented by proper skin care. This is the first step of having a radiant and glowing skin. A good skin can help you increase your self-esteem, thus making you glow inside and out.

When you have a regular skin care regimen, it may help keep the problems from appearing. However skin care may not mean you cannot have any skin disease, sometimes no matter what you do to prevent it from coming out, it will still appear but it does not mean that you are dirty and all.

One of the major complaints of some people is acne. This is a very common skin problem. Acne is sometimes cause by oily skin or sometimes hereditary. Body hormones can also cause the appearance of the acne. On the contrary it does not always appear on the face it can also appear on the rest of the body.

If acne occurs you can help it from becoming worse by not wearing tight fitting clothes when the acne appears on the body. Tight clothes make the condition worse once you start perspiring.

Another important thing to remember is to avoid touching it. Touching acne can help spread the infection. Lastly is to never squeeze out your pimples. Squeezing out pimples can cause scars and spread infection.

During the winter the most common problem is the dry skin. Cold weather tends to dry out the skin because the air inside an outside is dry and humid. One thing you can do to help it is to hydrate it by using a lotion every after shower. At these times the skin is ready to absorb the moisture.

When certain areas of your skin are exposed for a long time in the UV rays of the sun, it can create dark spots on your skin which is called brown spots. Wearing sunscreen every time you go outside can only be your protection. Even if you cannot see the sun during winter you still need to use sunscreen. The sun's rays are always present during daytime even if you cannot see it.
