How To Prevent Pimples And Cure Your Acne

There are many chemicals and medications available to treat pimples but they all have side effects that may be damaging to your skin or your body. It is much better to learn how to treat pimples naturally.

The first step towards eradicating pimples is to change your attitude for the better. Almost everyone suffers from some degree of acne, especially in their teen years. Once you accept this, you may not be as tempted to run out and try risky products or procedures.

That being said, there are natural ways that you can reduce or prevent the appearance of pimples. Most of the simply help your body to do its job of fighting the infections that cause acne.

Wash your face every day with hot water and ordinary soap. Soaps that are full of fragrances and oils will lead to blocked pores. Soaps that claim to prevent acne may dry out your skin, which will only cause it to produce more oil, which can lead to more pimples. Stick with the basics.

Be sure that you eat a healthy diet that is low in junk food and high in fresh fruits and vegetables. Try to stay away from soda and other sugary drinks. Choose water to drink because it will help keep your skin well hydrated and free of toxins.

Use a hot compress on your pimples. This will not only draw the infection to the surface and out of your pore, it also works to bring the blood towards the surface. The more blood flow to the surface of the pimple, the faster that it will heal. You should be aware that once you remove the compress, the pimple can look bigger, but it will go down. This is normal, and when the temperature of your skin cools back down, it will fade.

Learning how to prevent pimples means learning how to keep your body and skin healthy. Then it is prepared to fight the acne effectively by itself, without the use of harsh, and potentially damaging, chemicals.
