Dermabrasion is a more invasive technique used to get rid of acne scars. An abrading (abrasive) tool is used to slough off skin cells and encourage the growth of new healthy skin. Considered painful, the use of anesthetic or anesthesia may be employed.

If all else fails, consult a dermatologist. Dermatologists can be expensive. It may be worth it though if less invasive methods don't help get rid of acne scars.
